Vaul Dathedi (Clan Malkavian)
Paranoid and alone, searching for his past

Description:
Standing 6' 3", vaul has red hair and grey eyes. He wears modern clothing, but the designs are inspired by the late 18th century, along with an ankle-length black leather coat, and knee-length leather boots. All of his clothing looks very sturdy.

Background:
In 1987 Vaul was on the move from country to country, attempting to find a place where he felt that he belonged. He travelled back to Ireland, the country of his birth, to see how the place had changed over the decades. To his surprise, apart from the people, it hadn't. Somehow it had managed to escape the tyranny of the modern age and stay reasonably peaceful. He went to the town of Carrickfergus and planned to visit a place from his childhood, Genoe. On his way there, a Garou attacked him.

The battle lasted for hours and the Garou almost took Vaul's head off. Vaul managed to kill it, more from luck than skill, as it landed headfirst on his Sai as he was retrieving it from where it was knocked from his hand.

Vaul managed to crawl into a cave which had been eroded by the local fresh water spring. He knew he would be safe from prying eyes, as the cave was in an area the locals called the "Dark Forest". This forest was believed to be infested by witches and evil creatures, and for once supersition was working in his favor. He lay there for weeks, feeding off the blood of rats, foxes, and rabbits until he could travel out of the cave and forest.

Dathedi suffers from amnesia so he cannot remember his past. The Malkavians took him as one of their own, though he does not totally trust them. He suffers from the Malkavian dislike of order and authority so he usually moves on before he makes friends or establishes a routine. The only way he will stay for any length of time in a Princedom is if he finds someone he trusts enough to watch his back.

He has also been known to suffer from schizophrenic attacks, but they're nothing to worry about; at least, that's what that pigeon in the park told him.

Character Perceptions:
Dathedi maintains a constant low level of paranoia, occasionally suffering from severe attacks. Due to this, even though he may appear relaxed and friendly, he is always watching for a knife in the back, or worse. Dathedi is rarely caught off guard, always prepared for an attack and always having an escape route.
