The world spins through space, gathering
heat on the side facing the firey globe the Kine call "the sun" and letting
it loose on the side turned away. On this world, innumerable creatures live, eat,
mate, sleep... and die. And some of those creatures that die still eat and
sleep... even mate, after a fashion... And other things -- older things -- lay
in wait, half-sleeping, half-dreaming, waiting for the time when they will be unearthed
and awakened, to walk the land once more... The world of the Wayward sits before you,

will get old and disappear from public view -- but they'll still be important backstory.
