Mike Wisdom (Human Euthanatos Mage)
A Death Mage looking for the Meaning of Life

Description:
Young, fresh-faced, he looks like one of the Campbell kids grown up. Just under 6'1", he has only a moderate build for a football player. Wisdom dresses mostly in jeans, sneakers, some t-shirt or another and a varsity jacket. His motorcycle is always near to him, representing his need for freedom.

Background:
Mike Wisdom was born to a wealthy family in New Hampshire. The middle of three children, he had an older sister, Aimee, and a younger sister, Madison.

Aimee was the perfect daughter, some 6 years older than he. He loved/hated his sister in the accepted way since there were big sisters and little brothers. When she turned 12, a sadness came over her. She kept up the appearance Mummy and Daddy expected, but Wisdom could see it. She committed suicide when she was 13. Mike was the one who found her in the bathroom, electrocuted, hairdryer still in hand. His parents claimed it was an accident, and after the appropriate contributions to the Policemen's General Fund, so did the detectives. Mike, 7 at the time, was devastated. Madison was just 2 and doesn't remember, but Mike does. He had dreams, but not nightmares, for years.

Then his grandmother died 5 years later. In truth, she was more of a mother. Audrey, his mother, was often found in the social circles of New Hampshire old money. Martin, his father, was often too busy with his mistresses to be home all that much.

Mike wasn't bitter or angry. He felt that was the way all perfectly normal. He knew his mother would be home sometime, and his father obviously loved him. Look at all the great presents.

Truthfully, his family was his grandmother and Maddy. That was all the family that truly mattered.

When his grandmother died, of perfectly natural causes, he shrank into himself. Often limiting himself to his room, with the occasional trip to the bathroom. Shrinks were hired and hush money was paid.

Finally, he felt he'd grieved enough and ôreturned to the land of the livingö as his mother put it. She was very close to the truth. While he was grieving, he found a few fundamental truths that helped lead him from the edge of his crisis.

  1. Death is not the end - While he had no scientific proof, he knew there must be a purpose to life as well as death. No one would create everything without reason.
  2. If Death is not the end, then there must be life after death - Wisdom couldn't fathom a reason to create death, but as a learning toolàand a resting time between tasks.

The philosophy served him well.

He grew strong in body, mind and spirit. He developed a pair of passions, football and medicine. He developed into both an excellent running back and an excellent student of science. With his athletic skills, he could virtually pick his college. His academic prowess, however, wasn't as highly valued. He challenged he accepted theories too much. So, he came to Georgia Tech, and met Wendy. Wendy the Witch, she called herself. She became his lover, teacher and friend.

She was killed in an automobile accident before his education was fully completed. Wisdom was in the car with her and was untouched. He never felt she really left him, that she was there with him.

She hadn't introduced him to Mage society yet, just some tantalizing hints. She also left him her apartment, her sanctuary, and the library within. This apartment has a door which he has never seen opened, in fact, she warned him to never open it. He still hasn't.

Magickal Style
Wisdom would have been a better Progenitor in terms of understanding of magick or a better Cultist of Ecstasy in terms of personality. However, he was awoken by a Euthanatos, so his style has an unusual mix.
