Kassius

" your lips move...
but i can't hear what you saying..."

" ah a place where no one Kindred rules but all have an equal say..."

" I see the light Elwood.... It's the band"

*Kassius smirks and feels better for it. then glances to and fro to better gauge the occupants*

OOC the following is back in time when Gwynhala talked about Ravnos

IC

Tremere had nothing to do with ravnos It wa them Technomages who are quite human, except for their Terminator esque HitMarks complete with shoulder mounted Plasma Cannons and Mib Clones, the only Vamps involved were

Kuei-jin and the Cathayans are nothing like us and dont play in our game.

As for the boards to be how the antideluvians want a battle lets messem up then, do like in the Anarch revolt, Damn shame i missed it, We turn on the Antis to show we dont want to be manipulated by the anicents, that after all is the principle the sabbat was founded on, Even if the moronic hordes cant stick to the plot.

OOC I never heard anything about Elijah being a thin blood I thought he was just embraced as a Caitiff in which case he could be 9th gen and still wouldnt show the clan curse. Besides in a camarilla territory it is Illegal punishable by sundeath to create a thin blood, so Elijah was embraced to punish and stop the slayer therefore he would be 13th gen or lower, no Camarilla prince is going to help Gehenna by making thin bloods, and the Sabbat tear them up on sight as well

Its people like you that give kindred a bad name,
its people like me that makes it worse

Elijah Robert Marks
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OOC/ Elijah has no definitive comment on his generation. You'll have to find out later. /OOC

Elijah shrugs.

"I don't know my generation. I suspect, if we have the same sire, I'm the same generation as Lady Amara there... she doesn't strike me as "thin-blooded," though.

------------------
I didn't hate the kindred; I just hunted them. Then they found me, and then I became them.

Elijah Robert Marks
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Amber, I didn't hate the Kindred. Well, I did when I started out, but gradually I just started feeling sorry for them. It's hard to see someone start out clinging to their humanity and watch them descend into madness without feeling sorry for them. A lot of us felt it was mercy-killing as much for the creature as it was for humanity in general.

"So how do I feel about being one, now? ...surprised."

------------------
I didn't hate the kindred; I just hunted them. Then they found me, and then I became them.

Krouser
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*looks to Elijah*

"and how long do you think you can hold on to the truth of your humanity in the face of the beast within, and the fools without?"

*looks at the cap of his flask, as he sqishes the vitae inside around slowly.*

"Don't let them fool you. You're as human as you ever where. The only real difference is the fact that, now you are under constant assault, for the beast is still within you. If you can prove yourself better than the beast, by staying true to the morals and the self that you developed before the embrace, then you will be the superior of most vampires as well."

*looks back to Elijah.*

"Remember that, hunter. When you ask yourself who and what you are, remember that your awnser should always be 'I am Elijah Marks, human amongst humans.'"

Elijah Robert Marks
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hm. Krouser, what you say makes a lot of sense. Still, I have changed, haven't I? I mean, after all, I'm now susceptible to the True Faith. When I was human, it didn't affect me at all... except for when I was standing near Lazarus, but I suppose he's a special case. I felt it coming from Gwynhala when he first came into the chessroom... and I didn't like it. Which is strange, because I haven't lost any of my beliefs, as far as I can tell.
"I wonder how they're doing, anyway? He and David left to try and find the hall of dead games, as I recall..."

ooc/ since I've responded to conversations in this thread, I guess I didn't go with them. You all live on the west coast, don't you? Posting at 5:30 in the morning, when I'm asleep... Shame on you. /ooc

"You know, I think I'm going to go find them. I don't like being left out of a mystery. Anyone coming?"
Elijah turns and starts walking towards the exit.

Elijah Robert Marks
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ooc/ OK, I'm doing this just to tidy up a little plot inconsistency, hope no-one minds. /ooc

Elijah stepped through the portal, searching for the glow of the candles that would help him find his way through the labryinthine passages he'd travelled with his companions. Expecting to see the first in a series of confounding turns, he stopped, surpised, and stared blankly.

Before him was a hallways -- the hallway he'd been in the first time, with the banners, and covered windows, and doors. Placed beside some of the doors were candles, burning bravely in the darkness.

"What the -- ?"

He turned, and again was faced with an oaken door, closed and unmoving. He turned again, facing the hall, and began to walk down its length.

Sure enough, eventually he began to see a door at the far end. Open. He heard voices.

Quickening his pace, he began his trek to the far end...

OOC
back in time again to just before elijah decided to leave

IC
(to Krousers comments)
*smiles and nods*

*speaking to Elijah*

the problem of being Kindred is the beast of primitive emotions and actions becomes a seperate entity within, many humans do acts which we dare not, for they are intertwined with the beast, whereas we fight it, if anything, we are encouraged to follow our own beliefs and stray not from the path we have choosen for a mortal that does may be arrested and convicted, we loose ourselves no matter the path choosen, perhaps that is why mortals who have a burning purity of thought and clarity of vision repel us so as evidence suggests True faith comes not from without but within, the intense purity of believing and ascribing to a path in all things, perhaps it is mortal Golconda or the Ascendancy of your path for example some who follow Via Humanitas, spend an early period living more morally than any human sufffering great moral agony when feeding and virtually incapable of harming a person in any way, though they soon fall from grace, there is a time when they are pure subscribing to a morality and taking it to the pinacle, of course most non camarilla Kindred follow paths that better suit their philosophy, for example the Giovanni follow a path of bone? something to do with death, for them not learning form death and destruction is a great sin when Via Humanitas is repelled by the thought of killing?

go figure,

*to elijah leaving*

(covers face with hand and shakes head muttering)

gullible, so damn gullible

------------------
Its people like you that give kindred a bad name,
its people like me that makes it worse

Altiriel Twice-Born
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looks after Elijah. "Not everyone falls from grace. Hopefully, he can stand the test of time as well as we have."

Vash
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Vash dusts himself off, his brow furrowed in thought*

Oh well, oh well... I suppose I should see what's going on in the other room. Maybe Miss Voracia misses me. At least she doesn't chop herself into pieces to make herself seem weird, she does that all on her own.

*Vash thrusts his hands in his pockets and begins to walk down the hall singing*

Always look on the bright side of life...
If life seems jolly rotten,
There's something you've forgotten!
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.

When you're feeling in the dumps,
Don't be silly chumps,
Just purse your lips and whistle -
that's the thing!
And... always look on the bright side of life...

*Vash begins to whistle the chorus as the sound slowly fades from the great hall*

Sudsaroo
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Krouser, technically everyone here is within arms reach of me.

But I apologize for what must seem like a horrific display. 'Tis nothing for me.

Och Aye Angela!

What a great book.

One of the things that I find can endure me through centuries is reading.

I swear I must have some Malkavian in me, however I may be that I've given up my humanity a long time ago.

In any case, I'd like to see what's going on in the other room. I didn't come here to be a spectacle, I've come for the conversations.

*Amber leaves her lost arm on the counter and begins to walk the hall singing RENT*

Live In my house
I'll be your shelter
Just pay me back
with one thousand kisses...

- Amber

/ooc so now I join the Window post?

Gwynhala
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OOC: For Amber's writer - Welcome! I am not the story teller - we all are, yourself included, but Neuromortis is a sort of, um, executive story director.

Voracia started the window thread. The only condition Voracia's writer put on The Window thread is that you get there logically.

Amber entered the Great Hall but was not part of the earlier action. So I don't think she knows how to get to the Chess Room, unless she wanders around aimlessly looking, or goes with someone who knows the way, or asks someone who has been there how to get there. And does she have a REASON for going to the chess room - she does, if she goes with someone else who has a reason.

Well, answer these for yourself - its an honor system. LOL. BTW if you explore randomly you might find a door with a strangely compelling symbol on it, a symbol that would have meaning only to you. And if you find such a door, you will likely go into that room and re-live some particularly emotionally disturbing - to your character - aspect of your (un)life. And no other character will know what happened in the room - but you write it out in the first person in detail like it's happening (fun out-of-character background knowledge for all).

Ha! I'm just relating what has happened to others - take that path if you like it, or blaze your own!

End OOC.

Lady Amara
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Comes back shaking her head...

"I step away to howl at the Raven for ten minutes and he's steps into a F***ing portal..."

Amara smaks her heads and sighs...

------------------
Amara....can a girl play??

Elijah Robert Marks
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ooc/ LOL at Amara's reaction /ooc

Stormcaller
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ooc/Well Amara was outside the room when Elijah ran out the first time so I guess she would have a vague idea where it is if she wants to find him again. But thats up to you./ooc

------------------
I have forgoten my past, now if only it would forget me.-David

Krouser
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*stands, tucking his flask away, and walks silently into the back halls, until he is well and truely out of sight. A smile creases his face, as he pulls out the carved flute. Soon, wild flute music wafts down the corridors, into the main hall, and across the complex, then fading into silence.*

Sudsaroo
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ooc/I explained how I got there in the Widow thread, I followed behind David and the candles. Oh, and this um personal experience, where do I post that? /ooc

-Amber
